I tried to go to Vietnam for Chinese New Year, but after extensive searching of being confirmed I didn't need a visa beforehand prevented me from going. I got sent away at the airport, and had to come back to Taipei with my head down. The following day, I made it up by going to this area where they were celebrating Lantern Festival. It was vibrant, had a great time.

The train was so full on the way back, I shared a taxi with strangers. 30 USD for a 1 hour journey. Where I'm from, that would've cost 500 USD.
