The strangest thing happened the other night. An earthquake simultaneously occurred at the same time I had a bail on this glacier of a concrete bank. The bank lies on a steep incline with about a 3 story drop opposite over a railing. I mustered up enough courage to try a trick on it , only to trip off my board, land on the ground, and hear an earthquake alarm go off. I ran over to my phone, and it read, "strong earthquake report". You never know if its going to be the "big one". All I could think of was laying low, out of any area something that could fall. After a couple of minutes, I checked my phone, and it was only a 3.0 on the Richter. haha!
I found this spot one night after I injured my foot, and had some free time to search. I had no idea it was there. It got built within a 2 month time. Its another place just screaming to be skated. I think that's what it is there for, its hard to say.
Or is it for children to play on, or older people to do their chee gwhy stretching practices?
I can definitely see a whole crew of dancing grannies coming in and taking this hostage all night. Its a huge phenomenon in Chinese Cultures for the older ladies to get together in large groups of 50 or more to do dance routines. They will blast the same song on repeat for hours. Not even trying any new dance, or song. Just the same damn song and routine every night for 2 hours. They say insanity is trying the same thing over and over, and expecting different results.
I was reading an article on the dancing grannies and it said, "Many people are too scared to confront the groups of middle-aged and older women who take over public parks and sports grounds to exercise along to music. The dilemma of the dancing grannies has prompted some to seek out tech solutions. A remote stun gun-style device that claims to be able to disable a speaker from 50 metres away."
Maybe skaters will do the same after we retire, and join 50 others to do Rodney Mullen freestyle exercises listening to Black Flag Wasted on repeat
I'm coming back to this spot with a ton of wax. It should be ready by the time you check it out.
